Guiding Souls Home Care, Inc. ("Guiding Souls," "we," "us," or "our") operates guidingsoulshomecare.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, city or county, and any details you choose to share about your care needs when you submit a form, use our chat, request a free in-home assessment, or apply for a caregiver position.
Information collected automatically: this website runs no analytics package. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager and no advertising pixel on any page. Information is still collected automatically by the chat widget, and on our contact page by the booking calendar, both described under third-party services below. Between them they receive the pages you view, the address of the website that referred you, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived on, your device and browser type, and your IP address, from which a general location can be derived.
Our own website code records, for the length of your visit only, the first page you landed on, the referring website and any campaign parameters in that link. If you then submit a form, those three values are sent with it so that we know how you found us. They are held in your browser for the session and are cleared when you close the tab.
How we use your information
To respond to your inquiry and answer questions about our services. To schedule and confirm free in-home assessments. To send appointment confirmations, reminders and care updates. To review caregiver employment applications. To improve our website and services. To meet legal, licensing and regulatory obligations.
Text messaging
If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may send you appointment confirmations, assessment reminders, care related updates, and replies to questions you have asked us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at the email or phone number below.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Cookies and information stored on your device
This website sets no cookies of its own. The chat widget stores five items in your browser's local storage for this site, and unlike a session they stay there until you clear them: a visitor identifier, a list of your visits, a record of each visit including the page, the referring website and any campaign parameters, a first-visit record, and anything you have typed into the chat box but not yet sent.
The chat widget and the booking calendar are each delivered through Cloudflare, which sets a bot-detection cookie on its own domain rather than on ours.
You can remove all of it at any time by clearing cookies and site data for this website in your browser settings. Doing that does not cancel care you have arranged and does not delete anything you have already sent us.
Third-party services on this website
Three companies receive information when you use this site, because their software runs on the pages. Each of them can see your IP address and which page you are on.
The chat bubble, and the delivery of anything you submit through a form, are provided by LeadConnector, the client management software we use to run the business. Its widget loads on every page of this site. When you send a form or a chat message, LeadConnector receives what you wrote along with your IP address and the page you were on.
The booking calendar on our contact page is an embedded scheduler provided by the company that manages our online booking. Opening the contact page loads that scheduler, which receives your IP address whether or not you book a time.
The chat widget loads its typefaces from an outside font service, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Nothing else on this website is loaded from anywhere other than our own server, including our own fonts and images.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above and any others who help us run our business, and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or where necessary to protect the safety of a client, a caregiver, or the public.
Care and health information
Details you share about care needs are treated as confidential and handled in line with applicable California and federal requirements.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide services to you and to meet legal and licensing recordkeeping requirements.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct your information, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email admin@guidingsoulshomecare.com or call (916) 229-8120 and we will take care of it.
Children's privacy
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
